DEF LEPPARD Guitarist's MAN RAZE Contributes New Song To 'iSuperbiker' Film
January 25, 2011A brand new song from MAN RAZE — the rock outfit featuring Phil Collen of DEF LEPPARD, Simon Laffy from GIRL and Paul Cook of THE SEX PISTOLS — is the title track to the new film "iSuperbiker", directed by Mark Sloper ("The Final Cut", "Small Time Obsession") and due to be released in the spring. The movie will, for the first time, feature the exploits of four motorcycle racers as they compete at speeds of 200mph. The film, shot in high definition, follows four riders as they race wheel to wheel in the MCE Insurance-sponsored British Superbike Championship.
The two-wheel gladiators risk life and limb at each race meeting knowing that there can be only one champion. As well as capturing stunning on-track action, the film goes behind the scenes to follow the unfolding drama among wives, girlfriends, teammates and managers. Everyone wants their rider to win and passions are aroused when things go wrong.
The heroes of the story are Tommy Hill, Josh Brookes, James Ellison and Gary Mason. Tommy is the great British hope. Having cheated death at the age of just 14, he is now fearless.
James Ellison is another British rider and has made incredible personal sacrifices to race. He finished second last year and must become champion to save his career.
Brookes earned the nickname "Bad Boy" after being banned from racing for reckless behaviour. An Australian who races in black leathers, Josh would love to steal the crown from the Brits.
Gary Mason is the oldest and races on a factory-prepared Kawasaki. Unfortunately, with his performances declining 2010 will be his last season if he doesn't start winning.
Emphatically not an "end of season review," "iSuperbiker" is an authentic documentary intimately following the fortunes of four riders knowing there can be only one champion.
The film score is by David Vanian of THE DAMNED.
"iSuperbiker" will be launched nationwide on March 10 at cinemas nationwide and available on DVD on Monday, April 4.
